The White Trash Bash 2003!!!

Okay... I've been waiting to update this until I had scanned the picture.

Anyway, the evening started out with all us guys getting the names and room numbers of our dates, who we were supposed to go and pick up at their rooms. My date was Noel (last name omitted for privacy).

After picking up our dates, we had fine white trash dining (aka cafeteria). Following dinner, we went down to Egvedt where we received instructions for a mass game that we were supposed to play. The game was called "Bigger and Better". The object was to start with a small item and trade it with random people in the surrounding neighborhood for something bigger and/or better. There were three couples per team.

We started with a small plastic fetus, traded it for an apple, traded that for a water bottle, that for a cone in the middle of the road, the cone for a piece of chicken wire, but the person didn't want the cone, so we put it back and took the water bottle back. We traded the chicken wire for an old box spring with nothing but the wood frame and the springs. We decided to keep the box spring and stowed it behind a dumpster near school.

We then traded the water bottle for a cooler and the cooler for a suitcase. We then got a really cool box for the suitcase, but they didn't want the suitcase. We then got a stove pipe, and once again they didn't want the suitcase or the box. We then got a semi-working carpet cleaner/vaccuum, but once again, they didn't want any of the other stuff. We finally got to one house and they offered a window-mounted air counditioner. The only thing about it was that it was over one hundred pounds... so it took at least two of us to lift it and move it anywhere. After the A/C, we decided to call it quits and headed back for the campus.

We didn't win because there were a lot of really cool things people had been able to pick up, but it was fun... I don't think the A/C was a good idea, though...

Overall, a really cool night. There were some amazing costumes. Some were just impressively hideous, which was the idea. Anyway, I'm really hoping that, if I'm around next year, that they choose a slightly easier theme for me to be comfortable with.
