Well... my internet is down, so I'm going to have to update when I'm at school. It's a little irritating, but there's not a whole lot I can do about it for now.

So on Friday, the Prom Committee held its car wash. It was fairly good. I spent the first half worried about keeping my emotions in check expecting Hannah to show up. Like usual, she managed to make my fears completely void by not showing up. The irony...

Saturday, I called up Pat, and we went down to Saturday Market. I was a little depressed then, so I needed to get out of the house. We walked around and listened to a couple bands including a Reggae group, who's trapset drummer was completely stoned off his ass and could barely keep the beat until the band leader nearly drummed into his head. A bagpipe player was refreshing and strengthened the call of my heritage. It's fairly strange, but I really want to go to Ireland... I feel drawn there.

One of the bands was a fairly contemporary group, who's singer I had the chance to talk to. There's nothing like networking in the music industry. Her name is Wendi Daniels. Her voice is very similiar to a mature Jessica (last name removed for courtesy). Anyway, I complimented her singing (Pat complimented the bass player) and helped her move a bit of equipment. She gave us a card with her website, and I forgot totally to give her one of my cards. Anyway, she's been with her band for about a year and she has been performing professionally for about five years.

Pat and I then walked around on the waterfront, talking. Saw Mrs. Charles on the Morrison Bridge. She was riding a bike with (who I'm assuming was) her husband. We later saw her at the MAX station. On the way back to the MAX station, however, we were unable to cross the street until the peace rally had finished marching. A fairly weird experience.

Pat then dragged me to a music store (by this time, I had expended all my energy and was wanting to go home). He showed me this thin-body up-right bass. It was neat, but my mind was wandering off into Introvertland. Finally, I was able to get home.

Sunday, moving desks. I now have a bigger desk in my room, which means that I can't turn my bed around, but oh, well. It's nice and has a lot more storage space than I did before. It was a pain in the ass to get up into my room, though.

Anyway, today, I'm a little depressed. I'm just feeling like that everything I've done has been useless or that I've done nothing of importance at all. I feel like I've done nothing to make an impact on people at all. I'm also trying to get a date for Prom, but I'm having difficulty. It seems like every time that I look into asking someone, they have different plans. It's a pain.
