Be to Me Hope

Be to me hope
And light of the sun
Find in the haze
My future
Bright and glimmering

Let these words of mine
Be the tomb of my fear
To seal in rememberance
A time long past
A shadow and husk

Let me fly and soar
And find breathless beauty
I long for the stars
I yearn for new horizons
Bring me the sky

Be to me hope and dreams
Find in me
Light and sorrow mixed
The engine of my soul
That propels me to the heavens

Seal my thoughts
And capture from my voice
Fear and doubt
Forever held
Where I shall be no longer

Find my feet on clouds
Dancing with the wind
See that I am free
Free of all that held me
All that held me captive

Be to me hope
Be to me love
Be to me reality

Vantage Point/Kurbside

Hey Kenny-

You undoubtably do not remember me, but I was at ACHS with you. Anyway Loren Williams' Mom is trying to get ahold of members of Vantage Point/ Kurbside. I seem to recall that you were in it, or atleast in the music scene at A+C. I used to be able to contact Scott Johnson but his email bounces now, so you're my best hope. Could you drop me a line, and let me know who you remember?

I most certainly remember you. Fortunately, Loren's mom already got ahold of me. How are you doing?

Re: Vantage Point/Kurbside

Well, gee. Thanks for remembering me! Ah, I'm glad Mrs. Williams got a hold of you, that'll be easier. I just moved so I was going through my box of stuff from A+C ( a few old Savant's, a huge pile of photos, some yearbooks, but not alas my Senior yearbook, which I have no idea where it is. Probably still in the Smith Ballroom at PSU, or Randy Gerheart's parent's car) and I sent some photos I had of Loren off to his mother earlier this week and she asked did I remember anyone from Vantage Point and here we are. It was Curbside/Kurbside once, wasn't it? Am not imagining it? I'm good. In NZ, working in Biosecurity (didn't see that one coming) and just getting back into my MA in Religion and social theory. How're you?

Re: Vantage Point/Kurbside

Yeah. The year prior to Vantage Point, the band was taught by another teacher. Thus, it had a different name - Kurbside.

New Zealand, huh? That's amazing! I'd love to hear about it, as it's one of the places I hope to visit at some point. And biosecurity? How'd that one come about? Did you just find that you suddenly have a passion for it or was it something that you just decided to do? Or both?

As far as myself, I'm still trying to finish up college. Basically, this last semester is catching up on all the classes I... didn't quite get completed in previous years. Not doing papers makes graduating slightly difficult.
