A Wishlist

I got this idea from a friend of mine. Please, by all means, do not feel obligated in any manner. This is basically a way to relieve some stress for those who might agonize over what to get me (who that would be is beyond me).

Anyway, here's my (fairly practical) wish list for Christmas/my birthday:

Iona - The Circling Hour
Iona - The Book of Kells
Iona - Iona
Sting - My Funny Valentine (Japanese release/import via Amazon)
Plumb - Chaotic Resolve

-CDs that contain-
Brahms - Ein Deutsche Requiem (preferably Deutsche Grammophon label)
Poulenc - Three Novelettes For Piano
Handel - The Messiah
Bach - Mass in B minor
Bach - Magnificat
Bruckner - Te Deum
(if in doubt, look for: the Vienna Philharmonic; the Cleveland Philharmonic; the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields; the Orchestre de la Société des Concerts du Conservatoire; the London Philharmonic; Herbert von Karajan as director; Robert Shaw as director; Dietrich Fisher-Dieskau as a soloist; Deutsche Grammophon label; Naxos label; etc.)

Lord of the Rings (extended) trilogy
Danny Deckchair
Whale Rider
Les Misérable (Liam Neeson)
The Ultimate Matrix Collection (Amazon)
(an absolutely full wishlist)

Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes
How the Irish Saved Civilization by Thomas Cahill
The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman (apparently there's a version for friendships?)
The Discworld Series by Terry Pratchett (absolutely any book from this series, but chronologically would be nice)
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
1984 by George Orwell
A Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
On Human Nature by Edward O. Wilson
The Ethics of Ambiguity by Simone de Beauvoir
Meditations on First Philosophy by René Descartes
The Free Choice of the Will by Augustine of Hippo
Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle
The Republic by Plato
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Divine Comedy by Dante (all three parts: Inferno, Purgatory, and Heaven)
The Merry Advantures of Robin Hood by Howard Pyle
Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan
The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer
(for those books that were written in another language, the original language would mean a lot to me, but I also wouldn't be able to read them... use your best judgement...)
