Obligatory Fourth of July Entry

Well, it was two-hundred and twenty-nine years ago, today, that our founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, the final push from British monarchy and rule. While things have slightly changed still that time, such as the reasons why we celebrate (seeing as how it's more about shopping and fireworks, nowadays), we still have the principle of freedom that drives this day, so many years later. Now on to the fireworks, cheesy music, and holiday discounts. God bless America!

Anyway, the family and I are going up to Fort Vancouver to see the fireworks. I'll most likely enjoy it, but I have this sinking feeling that I'm going to get really worn out sometime mid-day. Maybe it's my introverted nature, but I have a hard time at "all-day" events. It's not that there's not enough to do or not enough time to relax, it's just that it doesn't take long for me to loose all my energy. Whatever, I suppose. I'm going to do what I can to enjoy it as much as I can, regardless.

Also, before I forget, I was so busy trying to get her present off on July 1, that I forgot to make mention of her birthday on here, so without further ado:

HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY, hutchypie!!!
