Well, it's been a fairly nice week.

I started Summer Evening Academy over at Merlo and it's been going really nicely. It's a six week course and I've been breezing through it. I should be done with it, most likely, by next week. My supervisor is been blown away with how quickly and effectively I'm learning this stuff. I'm actually finding it really interesting. It's kinda fun to see how the government SHOULD be working. ;)

Anyway, this Peña was kind of slow. There were only six people that showed up, so I only got paid $20. I mean, it's not quite as nice as getting $30, but I can manage. It ended pretty early, too. Basically, there was a couple and a group of four. The couple left at about 11:30 and the group left during what was supposed to be a break (which was about 12:00). So, that was the end. Apparently, because of the 4th of July weekend, all the restaurants were lacking two-thirds of their normal gatherings. Nothing to really worry about.

However, I did have an interesting thing happen. I saw Cordelia (last name removed for courtesy) there. I'm not sure how many people remember her, but she used to go to Arts & Communication my freshmen and part of sophomore years. I remember having English class with her at the least. She's a nice person and we briefly chatted. She's going to PCC right now. She was hanging out with two of her friends, so I did want to bother them that much. It was kinda nice, though. They were playing around with the candles and some sticks, so I walked up to them and calmly asked, "Trying to start a bonfire?" They laughed and Cordelia took a couple glances before saying, "I know you." I said, "Yup." She said, "I can't remember where from." Then I said, "We used to go to school together." Anyway, I could go on, but it was mostly small talk, so there's not a whole lot of interesting information, but it was pretty cool to see her again. They came upstairs after a while, (I was already up there playing Mariano's guitar) talked, and listened to my very much improved little melody (that I was really proud of), then left. The entire Peña staff said good night to them, since they were just sitting discussing issues.

It's been a good week.

Oh!!! My brother, Erik, my cousin, and I are having our concert at the same place on Wednesday!!! Please come if you can! There's a $5 cover charge, but it's really worth it! I'll most likely be calling everybody later, but if you're reading this, you should know. Just ask me for directions if you need them.
