I Hate Money

I hate money...

I have to find a way to save my credit card from being sent off to the credit agency today. This is the credit card that I really didn't want to get in the first place. This is the credit card I made one single purchase (my textbooks). This is the credit card that I had the money to pay off because of a scholarship. This is the credit card that I didn't pay off because by the time I knew how to, the money went to help my mom with rent. This is the credit card that would've been about $350 or so, which is now over $500.

So, that's what's running through my mind right now. I hate money...

Maybe I should say that I hate the lack of money. Or maybe I should say that I hate having so many things that I need to pay off. Problem is that when I finally get enough money to pay it off, something else comes along that I have to pay off that's more important.

My credit's going down the tube at this rate...

The most important thing I can advise you to do... the MOST IMPORTANT, is to save every piece of paper they send you. Save every statement. Keep a record of every payment. If your debt gets bought off by another company, save everything THEY send you. If you call and request anything at all, keep a record of when you called and who you spoke to, name and position.

Don't let up on your request either. If they tell you whatever it is should be there in a week, if you haven't recieved it in seven days call and let them know. These companies expect you to not put your hand in, they expect you to simply do what they ask and they will not bow to your requests willingly or easily.

Of course, if you take care of it now, while it's still with the credit company, you should be fine. But if you find yourself in this situation, do all of these things. And don't slack off on it.

You'll save yourself a lot of time, energy and headache. I went through this myself in a process that took years to complete. I paid off my debt twice and the company kept telling me that I didn't. It was only through some advice I recieved from this circle that I was able to discover what I needed to do to get these people to back down. Something I am eternally grateful for.

Keep all this stuff in mind and hopefully you won't find yourself in the same situation I was in.

Really, you should hate credit cards, though I agree with my friend Deb. Money is a pig.=-P
Hope things clear up for you! (and soon)
