Five Questions... Again...

Questions, as posed to me by krikketgirl:

1. What are the last five CDs you listened to, and what conclusions would a random observer draw about you, based only on those five CDs?

Let's see... Iona / Open Sky - Iona / Beyond These Shores - Bare Naked Ladies / (I don't know the name) - Korngold / (Once again with the name, they're not my CDs) - William Stromberg / Trinity and Beyond: The Atomic Bomb Movie... I suppose one might think: I really REALLY like Celtic music, or just the band Iona; that I like classical soundtrack music; and that I listened to one of my friend's BNL CDs...

2. Has there been a defining moment in your life that completely changed your course?

I don't know really. My life has always been about subtile change. There have been moments that I can specifically think of that have been moments of high stress and pivotal times of action, but usually the change takes a longer time to occur. However, there is one instance that I just thought of.

Back in eighth grade, I had this huge crush on a girl named Kristy. Not only was it huge, but it was my first crush. During that time, I spent a lot of time praying and asking God for signs. Previously, I had made a commitment to keep from dating until God told I could. Well, that Christmas break, I get a hold of a book called "I Kissed Dating Good-Bye". The book rang true for a lot of what I had already been feeling, so I decided to adopt the ideal of a non-dating lifestyle, which evolved into my infamous "No-Dating Policy" that still is a major topic of controversial thought in my mind as to the appropriateness of it's place in my life now.

3. Crunchy or creamy? Why?

Uh... if referring to peanut butter, then creamy. I'm not a big fan of nuts. I find the texture too hard and it's not pleasant for me. On a broader scale, such as my food palette, I would also say creamy. I don't really like hard food because it takes far more effort to eat than it offers in enjoyment. I find softer foods easier to eat and enjoy and the texture doesn't displease me usually. However, it can't be too soft, or it's like eating slime. XP

4. How would you sum up your philosophy on life, in fifty words or less?

In fifty?! Oh, crap... okay... "Life is best when I try to make the best of it by fulfilling whatever potential God has given me and using it to enrich and protect the lives of others."

5. Which of your friendships has lasted the longest? What has made the friendship endure?

Technically speaking, my longest friendship (10 years) has been with my friend Chris from California, which has endured because our mothers are good friends, but it's not particularily the strongest of friendships, so I'm not sure if I can count it.

My longest good friendship has been with saffroncisco, who I've known since freshman year of high school. We still hang out and talk every once and a while since were both busy with our schedules.

It's hard for me to keep friends for a great deal of time because in the past I've moved around a lot and I've never set up roots anywhere. The only place that I've chosen to hold my ground has been here in Portland, but I don't know how that will change as I follow my life's path.
