The Knights that Say "Ow Ow Ow Ow Ow Ow Ow Ow Ow Ow..."

I went to another tournement today. It was a lot of fun, but there weren't many people there. There were about eight adults/semi-adults.

Started off with a race. The rules are simple; run to the other end of the field, grab the baton, and run back and touch the tree with the baton. The trick is, you are a target for everyone else. Here's another fun little bit; everyone has weapons (boffer weapons). So, what you have to do is either to grab the baton avoid getting hit on the way back to the tree or wait for someone else to grab it, kill them (not in a literal sense, but hit them with your weapon) and take the baton from them and run to the tree.

Garrett and I tied for first, so we had to do a special version of the game, nicknamed the "Gauntlet". In this version, everyone except Garrett and I were put into zones. There were about five zones in between the baton and the tree. Between Garrett and I, who ever managed to get to the tree with the baton, won. There was a little rule that Jason (Hawk) threw in; if you (either Garrett or I) were to kill one of the people in one of the zones, they could not attack you. So, what I did was to run ahead and kill everyone so I couldn't be touched and then ran back, killed Garrett and grabbed the baton.

Next up was archery. Let's just say I'm not all that great at archery. I've got a pretty good aim and stuff, but I was having difficulty getting used to the bow. That and the target was thirty paces away... downhill.

After that was the boffer war. Basically, two teams of fighters. My team consisted of Casey, Pat, and myself. We lost the first battle and the last, but we did win the second battle.

Fourth was the heavy weapons one-on-one. I didn't do too great with that. My foot was causing me some trouble, due to uneven terrain.

Last was the light weapons one-on-one. I did fairly well in that one. I came in third. On too of my matches, I killed them almost instantly (three hits per match).

Anyway, I now have a welt on my right bicep and my left foot feels like the bones in the arch have seperated, but, overall, I think it was a good day and I had a lot of fun.

{edit} I forgot to mention that I'm now a full Knight, instead of a Knight Errant... since there were only a few of us that were really dedicated (that had been there from the beginning), we were made Knights, despite not yet completing the third quest.

After that, I went over to Pat's house, ate dinner with his family, and watched "Changing Lanes". Good movie. Really profound in a way. I recommend it.

That sounds like a lot of fun. *giggles* Kenny killing people *giggles* and Kenny being an archer and sucking. I actually can't picture that because, I dunno, you seem like you'd be good at that.

Well, I kept over-shooting and I didn't get very many points. I tied with Pat for fourth... out of six...

I did find it amusing myself... although I doubt I would have used had it not been amusing to me... :P
