Elections...

Well, today we got the final tally on the elections for the school. The candidates were (since I didn't mention before):

Harry (last name removed for courtesy) and Gram (last name removed for courtesy) for Treasurer
glindaofoz and Mike Mello for Secretary
Stephine (last name removed for courtesy), Tyler (last name removed for courtesy), and William (last name removed for courtesy) for Vice-President
Jenny (last name removed for courtesy), Jocalyn (last name removed for courtesy), Maggie (last name removed for courtesy), Kenneth Keyn (me), and fedupgirl for President.

Those who won the elections are:

Harry (last name removed for courtesy) for Treasurer
Mike (last name removed for courtesy) for Secretary
Stephine (last name removed for courtesy) for Vice-President
Jenny (last name removed for courtesy) for President

While I'm disappointed that I didn't win, I'm glad that Jenny was elected. I would rather have her as President than anyone else (exception being myself). I'm also glad that Stephine won VP. She is a good person, and I believe she is right for the job. I feel bad about the results for Treasurer and Secretary because in both cases, I thought the other candidate would have done a better job.

Now, just because the results are not as I like, I'm not going to rebel and try to undermine them. Instead, I will support them because they are who were elected and it's my duty as a student at my school to fall under the leadership of those elected.

I'm working on still being able to be active in student government, regardless. I will sit in on the meetings, and possibly actually trade with Erik for the position of Ohana Representative. He said that the only reason he ran was to sway the vote, but he didn't expect to get elected.

I'll probably talk more about what happens, later. Comment if you will.
