I'm So Comforted by the Guys Making Bombs on My Porch

Well, it's the 4th of July, so Happy 4th to everyone. In the meantime, there's a bunch of fireworks going on outside our house, which include the production of homemade loud-bang things.

I was outside, but have retreated from over-stimulation. I'm not thrilled about the idea of having papers that I need to write, but I should do them before class tomorrow (even though we were supposed to have the day off).

Also, there'll be another Germany picture party tomorrow. There was also another one last week, but I couldn't make it because of work. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, but I said I'd go. While I still haven't resolved all my issues from the trip, I'm going mainly because I do want to help out and I would kick myself later if I didn't go. I just wish I knew what I could do about the whole thing.

Current Mood: tired tired
Current Music: "..." -Fireworks...

A happy Fourth to you as well! Yes, papers are usually never fun to write, unless one writes them voluntarily I find. This is true at least for myself. Best of luck to you.

Ten dollars says those loud bangs are pickalo pete bombs. Damn, those things are fun. Nearly blew Evan's truck to bits with one of those.

They were homemade with sulfur and water bottles. I don't know what they would normally be called, but in this case, they referred to them as bombs.

I don't know where you got sulfur bombs from. They were straight gunpowder. And yes, some of the less explosive ones were piccolo pete bombs. Take powder from one piccolo Pete and one ground bloom flower, attatch a fuse to a pop bottle lid, fill the rest of the lid with powder, screw on and, voila, you have bomb.
